Be careful to keep your personal challenges to yourself during the sales day.
Eliminate anything that can potentially distract your customers and prospects from the benefits of your product or service (or from you building a positive business relationship).
This should be fairly easy, unless your prospects or customers begin sharing their personal challenges with you. At that point, you may have a tendency to join in. Remember to do what you can to minimize it. Empathize with them. Care about their situation. Help if you feel it's appropriate, but avoid matching your personal challenges with theirs.
During sales time, you have no problems – you solve them.
It's all about them.
